One of my earlier childhood memories is from a long night drive around Lake Tahoe. An eclipse had turned the moon blood red and I stared at it —at once intensely and dreamily.
Last night that memory came flooding back (like the tide?) as I took these photos of the red moon from the other side of our planet.
I could also see the Red Planet and Saturn in the same little slice of visible from my courtyard.
