Voice of Art - GATS (Graffiti Against the System)
Graffiti is a thriving life force in Oakland. Meet GATS (Graffiti Against The System), an artist for whom the city is one endless canvas to connect with the people. Times are rough in “The O,” as GATS plans to write a poem throughout the city.

Significant Other Zek Invader part of Tribute pixel art poster
Things you (probably) didn’t know:
- I listened to Limp Bizkit, like a lot
- they had a rad graffiti made for the cover of their second album
- this is a tribute to the band and the art
- this is also a tribute to a graffiti, street art and design group called The ZEK Crew
- they mainly draw rabbits (this might not be entirely true)
- this is also a tribute to the street artist Invader
- he goes around the world cementing space invaders on buildings
- you probably pass them on your way to work, you just never noticed
fight the vampire squid: #occupywallstreet

My attempt at creating a funny little stencil/protest sign for Occupy Wall Street
Not filling things with girlthings and curlicues is deeply against my nature, so I suggest artists actually good at the Bold and Graphic try their own. But hope mine works.
Use, post, stick on everything, make into stickers, spraypaint on walls, put on signs. And thanks Matt Taibbi for the vampire squid-ness

i want to go see this.
Jimmy Bumble and Leonard White, Brooklyn Griffin, 2011 (via nytimes)
“Perched high above an industrial stretch of East Williamsburg, a menacing robot nine feet high and seven feet wide surveys the street below, watching cars steal past graffitied factory buildings as if they were prey. Its fierce head sways and dips when a wooden rudder protruding from the back of its neck catches the breeze. This is the Brooklyn Griffin. It almost never was. An earlier edition was destroyed on orders from an unsympathetic building manager.”
Harry Potter + Rambo = Team Work is Magic.
This happened last night to the new HP7 Pt. 2 Billboard of the Williamsburg Bridge.

In the not so distant future… Eviair - Awesome #NYC Street Art found near Mccarren Park, Brooklyn.
